In my work I explore the absurdity of familiar illusions. The images that appear from popular culture offer possibilities to what we can achieve if only we had what they advertise. Through common, repeated narratives we are promised that the actions we take have specific and measurable repercussions, therefore they can be calculated and executed with some degree of logic. I confront that promise by highlighting the absurdity of our beliefs and questioning the achievability of our goals. My work grapples with all of the promises that were made to us when we were naïve, becoming aware of our impossibilities.
